Former Rangers keeper Brian Kinnear could be set for a surprise move to West Ham United after it looked like he was close to joining Birmingham City, according to a report.
According to an update from West Ham insider ExWHUemployee, Kinnear is on trial with the Hammers.
Kinnear is joined on trial by Gio Loureiro from Leicester City and Kinnear could be involved tomorrow when the Hammers face Dundee in a pre-season friendly.
“We can exclusively reveal that there are two young players on trial at the club,” ExWHUemployee said on The West Ham Way patreon site.
“The first was covered on the podcast and that is Gio Loureiro a 15 year-old attacking Portuguese midfielder from Leicester City.

The other is Brian Kinnear from Glasgow Rangers who was one of five players suspended by the Scottish champions for Covid breaks this season.
“Kinnear is a Scottish Under 21s keeper. You will hear first how those players get on.”
Rangers exit came after Covid breach saw keeper suspended
Kinnear was one of five Rangers players suspended after breaching Covid rules at the start of 2021, before he left the Gers at the end of the season.
The Scotland youth keeper ended last season on loan at Annan Athletic and was on trial with Birmingham after his Rangers release.
A move to the Hammers would likely see Kinnear involved with West Ham’s under-23 rather than immediately joining the first-team squad at the London Stadium.
