The Athletic claims that the 25-year-old is edging closer to penning a fresh deal with the Scottish giants, who are offering him improved terms.
It is understood Premier League clubs have been eyeing him due to his summer displays for Finland at Euro 2020.
However, he’s going to get an improvement on his current contract that expires in 2023. Also, he’ll have improved terms on the understanding that Rangers will do business if a suitable bid comes in for him.
The report explains the midfielder does have a desire to move to the Premier League but that’s now likely to happen in a future window.
