RYAN JACK lived through some of the worst lows in Rangers' recent history as managers were sacked and supporters suffered.
And the midfielder admits the ultimate high still hasn't sunk in at Ibrox as Steven Gerrard's side savour their crowning moment as Premiership champions.
Jack endured the dark days under Pedro Caixinha and Graeme Murty before Gerrard arrived in Glasgow and set about transforming Rangers on and off the park.
That process was complete when title 55 was won last term. Now it is about pushing for further success as Rangers look to build on their first league flag in a decade.
“I feel the team is different now," Jack told the Rangers official souvenir magazine. "Obviously when I first came here it was a different manager, it was Pedro Caixinha.

“He signed me and when he left Graeme Murty took charge, then when he stepped down it was the gaffer now who took the reins.
“All through that journey they have all played a part in helping me settle and get to where I am, but since the gaffer came in he has been excellent with me.
“The club has just kept moving up levels. It’s been great and this has been a great year, everyone has thoroughly enjoyed it.

“There is no denying that getting the gaffer on board was great for the club and great for the players that were already here.
“For the likes of myself and others, it has been excellent to learn from him and the coaching staff as well – Gary McAllister, Mick Beale and Tom Culshaw.
“It has been a long journey full of highs and lows but this season the boys have produced and it has been a strong campaign.
“Obviously when you first sign for a massive club like Rangers, it’s all about winning trophies and trying to get silverware and sort of stamp your authority of the club.
“It is a club knowing for winning trophies and as soon as you sign you become part of that and you need to try and live up to that expectation.

“It obviously took longer than I hoped and I would have liked but what a feeling it was to get it done this season. I’m proud of everyone’s efforts.”
Jack has been an integral part of Gerrard's plans throughout his three-year tenure as manager but he would cruelly miss out on the final matches last term as injury ended his season prematurely.
The 29-year-old was still able to celebrate a historic achievement, however, and he is well aware of what the Premiership title meant to his team-mates and supporters at the end of a unique campaign in Scottish football.
Jack said: “It still doesn’t really sink in. Looking back, I don’t think it really hits home straight away at all.

“While you’re in the moment, you’re not really reflecting much – but as time went on and we got our hands on the trophy at Ibrox, it hit home much more. That was a great day for us.
“It’s something I’ve worked hard for personally and it is what everyone in the dressing room has worked hard for.
“When you have put so much into trying to win something at Rangers – and then you do it with this group of players – it is really special.

“The league was our priority this season so to win it as quickly and as convincingly as we did was superb. I was absolutely delighted for everyone connected with the club.
“We all sat down at the start of the season and said we want to win trophies and be remembered at this club because it is a great club.
“Thankfully we have managed to do that but going forward there are hopefully going to be more opportunities where we can win things and we’re excited about that.”
