Give Me Sport claim that Arsenal are keen on taking Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara back to The Emirates. The Finland international came through the ranks at Arsenal before leaving to join Dundee in June 2017. Now starring at Rangers, Arsenal are keen to bring him back to London.

Kamara, 25, has spent the last two and a half years under the stewardship of one of England’s greatest-ever midfielders in Steven Gerrard – and it shows. The ball-playing ace has taken his game to a new level. Not only that, but he has clocked up a huge 106 appearances for Rangers in that time.

Starring in European football and domestically, Kamara was crucial in helping Rangers win the league title last season – without defeat. Now, the report claims Arsenal are keen. Give Me Sport previously claimed Everton and West Ham want him, while the Mail say he is rated at £10million.

Arsenal have sold Matteo Guendouzi. Dani Ceballos has gone back to Real Madrid. Lucas Torreira is expected to go permanently. Granit Xhaka is likely to join Roma and Mo Elneny is in the final year of his contract. Five central midfielders that Arsenal could be without come the start of the season.

Yes, they have brought in Albert Sambi Lokonga but he is young and certainly unproven. Kamara is an international, who impressed at Euro 2020. A winner, consistent and hard working. Even if he does not start, Kamara is a good addition because Arsenal need midfielders.

Signing a big-name midfielder and Kamara is the way forward – especially given he would cost just £10million. It seems Kamara’s performance in the recent pre-season friendly between the two has tempted Mikel Arteta.
