Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is never far away from the centre of a transfer rumour and today is no different with a report in Portugal claiming his manager is due in Porto for talks over a move for the Colombian.
According to Mais Football, Morelos’ ‘manager’ Michael Gorman will open negotiations with the Portuguese giants wih El Bufalo in Brazil to play in Copa America.
The report also claims that the Light Blues asked Italian side Cagliari for €12million (£10.3million) earlier this month for the much-loved striker after the Serie A side made an €8million bid.
The Portuguese side are looking to replace Moussa Marega who recently left the Dragons, recently joining Al Hilal on a three-year deal, and have been linked with a move for Morelos in the past.

Should Rangers sell Morelos?

While the reported fee Rangers asked for from Cagliari seems ridiculously low, it wouldn’t come as a massive surprise is Morelos was sold this summer.
The Rangers hierarchy have made it clear the club needs to do better when it comes to player trading and the prospect of a massive profit on Morelos would be enticing.
El Buffalo arrived in Scotland for £1million four years ago and has gone on to become the club’s record goalscorer in Europeann football.
With Kemar Roofe, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe at the club already and Fashion Sakala arriving this summer, Steven Gerrard’s side aren’t short in the striker department.
However, if Rangers are to sell Morelos this summer, they should really be looking for much more than £10million having previously turned down bids of as much as £18million in the past.
