Rangers could face competition for Algerian star Zinedine Ferhat after it was reported French side Stasbourg are keen to sign him following Nimes’ relegation to Ligue 2.

Ferhat has been linked to Rangers since May, with Sassuolo and Saint-Etienne also credited with an interest in right-sided midfielder.
Now, FootMercato claim new Strasbourg boss Julien Stephan wants to sign him this summer.
Despite Nimes relegation, Ferhat caught the eye scoring six goals and grabbing ten assists in Ligue 1 last season and is reportedly available for as little as €2million.

The Gers have already added three new faces to the squad this summer after the arrivals of Nnamdi Ofoborh, Fashion Sakala and John Lundstram at Ibrox.
The addition of Ferhat would be an interesting one and fill an area of the team Steven Gerrard has had a little trouble with.
Rangers summer strengthening shows now sign of slowing down
While Kemar Roofe and Ianis Hagi have both played on the right of the front three for Rangers, neither has really made the position his own.
Hagi seems more suited to playing in a more central role while Roofe is arguably better used as the main striker.

Ferhat would be a really interesting signing for Rangers and would give Gerrard someone who can unlock stubborn defences and create opening for the striker(s).
At only €2million, it would be a relatively cheap signing for Gerrard’s side and would add some real quality for the Light Blues as they prepare to defend their title and qualify for the Champions League group stages.
