Lone Ranger Cedric Itten has claimed his first goal for Greuther Furth with a well taken header against Bayern Munich.
Ultimately, it turned out only to be a consolation goal for the home side but the Swiss striker will be delighted to get off the mark against the Bundesliga champions.
Bayern’s goals came from Thomas Mueller and Joshua Kimmich, as well as an OG from Greuther’s Sebastian Griesbeck prior to Itten’s strike – having only came on as a second half sub, to make his third appearance, less than 10 minutes earlier.
A familiar celebration was performed in front of the home fans as the Cloverleaves had something to cheer against their much more established Bavarian counterparts.
